The Asia and Pacific Seed Association was founded in September 1994 in Chiang Mai, Thailand as an international nonprofit and nongovernment organization with the aim of improving production and trade in the Asia-Pacific region of quality seed and planting material of agricultural and horticultural crops. Membership consists of a wide range of public and private-sector enterprises and other organizations throughout the region.Associate membership is offered to enterprises outside the region.
